NEA RESEARCH PART 2 - Genre Research

29/03/19
Genre Research

Within this post I am going to undertake research into the pop genre (the genre of our brief) - this will be completed through the analysis of three media texts that I have chosen. The main reason that I am completing this task will be to deepen my knowledge of the pop genre and decide what conventions I need to include within my own music video.

Camila Cabello, Havana -

Ariana Grande, Break Up With Your Girlfriend (I'm Bored) -

Maroon 5, Girls Like You -

In conclusion, I have found that this research will benefit my other work as I now have an understanding as to what I will need to include within my own music video in order to achieve a successful outcome.

NEA BRIEFS

MUSIC VIDEO

After taking into consideration all of my options, I have decided to create a music video - this is because I like the broadness of the brief as I feel as though I can produce a creative music video that expresses all of my skills. In addition, I have an interest in music as well filming and therefore I would enjoy the process of creating a music video and using my own ideas in order to produce my coursework.

TASK 3

--------------------------

--------------------------
Evaluation :
In order to make my mind map I decided to use the website 'bubbl.us' to achieve a neatly organised and easy-to-read display of what I want my music video to potentially be like. I was able to use the website to separate the different elements in my music video into categories that I will be able to chose from later - this will help me create my music video and plan the layout of my coursework.
